Basic Lomi Lomi Massage
Lomi lomi is a Hawaiian style of massage. Out of respect for those who apprentice for years in Hawaii to learn Lomi Lomi massage, I call what I do “basic.” Lomi Lomi is a very soulful art that is more than memorizing certain strokes; it flows out of a whole philosophy. The body tells a story and as I work I’m mindful of what is reflected in the body (past, future, mother, father, for example). If you wish to tell me an intention (a thought) you have at the beginning of the session I will prayfully, silently hold this in mind for you as I work. Strokes are long and flowing, recreating the feeling of the water washing the shore. There are some lovely strokes that connect the body head to toe. A lovely and time-honored massage tradition that I invite you to experience. Aloha!
